THOMAS WHITE

Thomas Joseph White, formerly of Millbury, Massachusetts, passed peacefully in his sleep after a short battle with cancer in his home in Lancaster, California on August 29th, 2021.

Thomas married Patricia [Kender] White in 1953 and shortly after had to go to Korea as a member of the United States Army. He was welcomed home to his wife and first son, Thomas R. White. Five more children would shortly follow: Justine (White) Martin; Cindy L. (White) Melton; Miriam R. White; Joseph H. White; and Neal White.

During his working years as a Plasterer in the construction industry, Thomas excelled at a number of sports and hobbies: candle pin bowling; softball; horseshoes; and gardening. He was also an avid fisherman.

Thomas moved back and forth from the east coast to the west coast several times before settling in Lancaster California in 2005. Thomas’ wife, Patricia White passed in 2013, and Thomas lived with his youngest son, Neal White, for the remainder of his life.

Thomas was pre-deceased by his parents Peter H. and Elizabeth (Minor) White, and 11 of his 13 siblings, Francis, William, Roland, Joseph, Peter, Edmond, Arthur, Julia Blanchard, Elizabeth DeAngelis and, most recently, Robert. He is survived by two sisters, Maryann Kittridge and Ruth Esteves; six children and their spouses; 11 grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren.

Thomas’ family and friends will remember him as a hero with a great sense of humor. He will be wicked missed.
