Sheila McKenna

McKenna, Sheila Marie, nee Widhalm, born July 29, 1942 in Pierce, Neb, passed away in her sleep on March 26, 2023 in Lancaster, CA. Married to John J. McKenna on Nov 27,1963, Sheila traveled with her Navy husband to live on bases in Maine and California. Sheila worked in the Lancaster school system as a nutrition specialist, retired after 16 years. She and John enjoyed driving back to Nebraska and John's home in Ohio for many years to visit relatives and friends.

She is survived by husband John, daughter Melinda McKenna Pappa. Son Patrick passed away in 2018. Two grandchildren, Athena D. Pappa and Timothy M. Pappa reside in California, sister Carolyn Connot in California, sister Corrine Bumann in Nebraska, and brother Donald Widhalm in Florida.

A Memorial service will be held 11 am Friday April 14, 2023 at Halley-Olsen-Murphy Funeral Chapel, 44831 Cedar Avenue, Lancaster.
