Rodney Kunkel

Born January 13, 1957, Rod made his "dash" count until his last breath on December 13, 2023. He always said 13 was his lucky number.

He was born in Rantoul, Illinois. Being a military "brat" he lived in many places with Thailand being a favorite. After graduating high school he joined the Army and he was always proud of his service. He loved music, animals, the outdoors, motorcycles, classic cars, and later in life golfing.

He was a genuine friend and mentor to many. He was funny, kind, generous, and never met a stranger. Most importantly he was a family man and he left one hell of a beautiful legacy.

Rod is survived by his mother Judith, his wife of 41 years Linda, their children, Krystal (Victor), Candice, Shawna (Robert), Dana (Robert), Rodney II (Laura), Travis (Jackie), 18 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was predeceased by his father Maurice, his brother Ricky, and his grandson Nathan.

Rod will be sincerely missed and his family appreciates your love and support.
