Misty Lee Troth
June 10, 1959 – October 18th, 2021

We are saddened to announce the passing of our loving Mother, Grandmother, Sister and Friend, Misty. Born Misty Lee McBride to Glen and Beverly McBride, June 10, 1959 in Lancaster, CA, Mom traded her broken body in for angel wings on October 18th, 2021. Mom is survived by her sister, Holly, daughter Lacey and son-in-law Casey, daughter Tessa and son-in-law Ben, and her three grandsons, Noah, Eli, and Rivers.
Mom grew up in and established a wonderful life in Lancaster. She graduated class of ‘77 from Quartz Hill High School, and remained dear friends with a number of her classmates her entire life. Following high school, Mom developed a love of traveling. She experienced the Greek Acropolis, the rainforest of Costa Rica, the Iguazu Falls in Brazil, and climbed the Cotopaxi Volcano and swam with the giant sea turtles in Ecuador. Family vacations were something she enjoyed the most. From the sand dunes of Glamis, boating trips to Lake Shasta and the river, and trips up to Mammoth, Mom enjoyed exploring the outdoors with those she loved.
Of all the things Mom experienced, being a Mom and a Grandmother were her proudest accomplishments. She was the ultimate “team mom”. Whether cheering on the sidelines or helping get ready for a performance, her love for her daughters was apparent in all things she did. She hosted the best parties and always had an open door for friends. Mom beamed with pride as she watched her daughters get married and start families of their own. Being a Grandma brought Mom so much joy and purpose. She will be forever remembered by her grandsons as Grandma Bunny; a Grandma with a warm heart, a welcoming home, who had a love of story time and showering the boys with gifts.
Mom’s smile and ability to talk to anyone she met are memories impressed upon many and she will be remembered for the way she navigated life with grace and kindness. Mom was also a fighter. She endured so much throughout the years, and we would like to thank the many people who blessed us with many more years with Mom, specifically Terry Miscione and Belinda Thomas.
Visitation hours will be held from 11:00am – 1:00pm on Thursday, November 4th at Halley-Olsen Funeral Home.
