MERCEDES MARIE FINK

Mercedes Marie Fink, 79 years old.


Born Mercedes Marie Daigle on December 4, 1944, in New Orleans, Louisiana. She was born to Howard and Henrietta Daigle.

Loving wife, mother, grandma, great grandmother, aunt, sister, and daughter.

She passed away September 29, 2024, in Lancaster, California.

She met her loving husband Ronald Fink Sr, in New Orleans, Louisiana. They married in January 1964. They celebrated 60 years of marriage.

They moved to the Antelope Valley in 1969, where they established their lives with their three children, Pam, Ronnie, and Todd.

Mercy attended Assemblies of God church in Lancaster for many years before making The Highlands Church, in Palmdale, her home church. There she was devoted to the prayer team and a student of the Word through many women’s Bible studies. She was a prayer warrior for her family.

After raising her family, she was a preschool teacher at KinderCare, where she enjoyed taking care of the little ones.

She suffered a stroke in 2015 that left her paralyzed and confined to bed. Her loving husband, Ronald, devoted to what would be the rest of her life taking care of her 24/7. He selflessly never left her side.

Mercy was proceeded in death by her father, Howard Daigle, mother Henrietta Daigle, sisters Marcelle Anderson, and Mildred Bennanati, brother Howard Daigle Jr., nephews Chuck and Bill Roof, and niece Janice Dunn.

She is survived by her husband, Ronald Fink Sr , daughter Pam Whalen (Brian), Ronnie Fink (Amy), Todd Fink (Shalaine), grandchildren, Travis Finstein (Amy), Tana Davis (Justin), Jacob Fink, Amanda Fink, Austyn Fink (Alexis), Peyton Fink, Rylan Fink, and Charlotte Fink, great grandchildren, Sienna, Brooklyn, Alijah, Scarlett, Kally, and Carter.


Forever in our hearts, until we meet again. 


Her favorite scripture is Psalm 119:105

“Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.”
