Melinda Bach
A joyful servant of the Lord was called home to heaven on Saturday, May 4, 2024.
Melinda Joy Bach was born on February 11, 1980, in LaPorte, Indiana to John and Diane Goetsch. Traveling the country as an evangelist’s daughter, Melinda was a stranger to no one and always had a ready smile for everyone she met. She graduated from Lancaster Baptist School in 1998, and from West Coast Baptist College with an associate degree in 2000. She married Ben Bach on June 9, 2001, and God blessed them with three children, Allyson, Austin, and Alana.
Melinda was a member of Lancaster Baptist Church and since 2013 served on staff in the children’s ministry and then as a receptionist at the church. Her joy was to serve people in any way she could but was most content being a devoted wife and loving mother.
Survivors include her husband Ben, her daughter Allyson, her son Austin, her parents John and Diane Goetsch, all of Lancaster, California, and her siblings: John Goetsch of Yuma, Arizona; Brock Goetsch of Jemison, Alabama; and Eric Goetsch of Yuma, Arizona. Alana, her youngest daughter followed her to heaven on May 7, 2024. We rejoice that both are now with their loving Savior and look forward to seeing them again one day!
Melinda will be laid to rest at Joshua Memorial Park in Lancaster, California.
Alana Bach
A loving daughter, sister, and granddaughter entered the presence of Jesus in heaven on Tuesday, May 7, 2024.
Alana Mackayla Bach was born on May 5, 2008, to Ben and Melinda Bach in Lancaster, California. Alana loved her friends, her dogs, volleyball, music, rollerblading, and the color pink. She was active in the Lancaster Baptist Church youth group, played on the Lancaster Baptist School volleyball team, and served in the church orchestra. Alana was equally content reading a book, spending time with family and friends, or fiercely competing in a volleyball game.
Survivors include her father Ben Bach, her sister Allyson, her brother Austin, her grandparents Bill and Barb Bach, and John and Diane Goetsch, all of Lancaster, California. She was preceded in death by her mother Melinda just three days before
on May 4, 2024.
Alana will be laid to rest next to her mother at Joshua Memorial Park in Lancaster, California.
