Kevin Anthony Kent

October 31, 1955 — June 16, 2024

Littlerock, CA

Kevin Anthony Kent, 68, of Littlerock passed away June 16, 2024 after a battle with bone cancer. Kevin was born and raised in Reseda CA but moved to the Antelope Valley in the late 90’s to have room for his horses. Kevin worked as a building inspector for the cities of Palmdale and Pasadena.

Kevin was a huge Dodger fan, often saying he was a Dodger from birth since his mother never missed a game. The Brooklyn Dodgers were World Series Champions the year Kevin was born.

Kevin was always there to volunteer and support the community. He spent hours grooming the Curly horses for parades and building parade floats for some of the AV Community Queens. He loved going to quarter auctions to support the Community Queens and sponsored many contestants for Antelope Valley pageants over the years. He was fondly referred to as “Pageant Dad” by some of the queens.

His true passion was music, mixing sound, and setting up stages for events all over California. He started his business High-Desert-Music in 2008 to share his talents and provide affordable services to festivals and fairs. He always said “everything is a song” and his music collection confirms that. His favorite organization is Rock Camp for Girls LA, where he volunteered every year, setting up a stage and shade for the campers. In lieu of flowers the family has asked for donations to this organization to further their future: https://donatenow.networkforgood.org/rocknroll/mobile

Kevin leaves behind his wife Melanie, daughter Abigayle, and daughter-in-law Anabelle.
