Juana Trinidad Najarro was born on June 11, 1949, in Metapan, El Salvador. She was the second-born child of Juan Antonio and Ana Cristina Delgado. Juany, or Juanita, as she was known by those who loved her, was raised by her beloved grandparents, Papa Luis and Mama Juanita.
In 1975, she migrated to Los Angeles and married her husband, Oscar Najarro in 1982. Together, they raised their four children, Flor, Karen (Rich), Oscar (Sylvia), and Christina, in Sun Valley. In 2007, they moved to Lancaster where she spent the rest of her life with her husband, children, nine (9) grandchildren, and two (2) great-grandchildren- Krystal (Anthony), Summer, Morning, Nick, Demario, Deandre, Heaven, Meadow, Ali, Lucious, and Lavender.
In the last 30 years of her life, Juany was a proud homemaker. During the earliest part of those years, she spent most of her days with her adoring grandchildren. She also enjoyed gardening and painting, but she was best known for her exceptional cooking. She was the definition of a caretaker- always the first to raise and the last one in bed, tending to your every need.
Juany was a devout Christian and practicing Seventh Day Adventist. She was a true prayer warrior. She spent every morning with God in prayer and reading her Bible and study books. In her final months, she shared that what she missed most was attending church and looked forward to the day she could return.
Juany was loved by many. She is remembered as a faithful, gentle, and kind woman who welcomed everyone with open arms and was often sought out for her purest words of encouragement. She was non-judging, forgiving, and graceful.
For her husband, children, and grandchildren, she was God’s earthly representation of pure and true love. Juany was the heart of the family and home. She was the sweet smell in the air breathed. She was the bright colors that painted the room. She was the intricate flavors around the dinner table. She was the tender sound and softest touch of love. She was, and forever will be, the essence of our family and is already greatly missed.
And while this is the hardest moment of our lives, we are comforted knowing she was a God-fearing, faithful woman, and we will once again see her when she raises at our Lord Jesus Christ’s second coming.
