Carol Ippolito

On the evening of Friday, February 10th, 2023, Carol Lynne Ippolito was called home at the age of 66 surrounded by her loving family.

Carol was the soulmate to her husband, Jim, and mother to three children, Sheri, James, and Robert, and six grandchildren, Kyra, Elizabeth, Autumn, Alexandria, Caleb, and Annalise. She is also survived by James’s wife Kathleen, Robert’s wife Melissa, her sister Diane her husband Steve, and nephews John and Travis. Carol was a dear friend to many others and strived to be a friend to all. She is predeceased by her parents Lawrence Robert Thomson and Gloria Marion Ribeneck and her grandparents, Lawrence and Barbara Thomson, Victor and Lydia Ribeneck.

Carol Lynne Thomson was born on June 27th, 1956, at Saint Boniface hospital in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. She lived on Autumnwood Drive in Windsor Park until 1965. When she was 9 her family moved to the San Fernando Valley in California. Her family lived in an apartment on Parthenia Street from grammar school to junior high school. Her family then moved to a house on Victory Blvd in Woodland Hills where she attended El Camino Real High School. Carol lived in three different houses on Victory Blvd, in the third house she met her future husband on her birthday in 1975, a year later Carol married Jim.

They began their life together and remained married for 46 wonderful years. Carol’s first child Sheri came a year later, followed by James and Robert. Early married life began in apartments in Canoga Park, they then purchased a mobile home in Moorpark and finally purchased their first home in Lancaster in 1986. Carol was a bank teller, manager of a fabric store, and finally her favorite job, “Fraud Investigation Specialist.”

Carol loved camping and traveling the country in her trailer and being with her family. Carol was an amazing quilter, she loved to crochet and knit and was beyond amazing at that too.

She was an animal lover. Her menagerie over the years included a snake, rat, birds, cats, and her beloved dogs (too many to count).
