Randy Knudtson

Randy Craig Knudtson, 64, passed away on August 31, 2020, and is survived by his loving wife Lucy Voge, of Lancaster, California. Randy was born in Racine, Wisconsin on September 26, 1955, to his late father Burval L. Knudtson and his late mother Arloene A. (nee: Bidwell) Knudtson. Randy was raised as a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Racine, Wisconsin.

Randy was a self-driven person placing great care to the ones he loved and the things that he found interesting. Randy honorably served the Army in USA and Germany, at which time he gained his first interests in electronics and signal analysis technology. Randy then earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Management from Redlands University. Randy gained many praises from customers and coworkers while providing exceptional support in project management, flight test, and electronic counter measures for the Air Force and other federal services at Edwards Air Force Base, prior to his retirement in 2005.

During the past 25 years, Randy enjoyed traveling with his wife Lucy to Europe, Asia, Mexico, Africa, and Hawaii. Randy gave great care and kindness for animals and often projected his kindness towards animals needing rehabilitation care. Randy loved all of his animals, and Randy called his last adopted Doberman rescue “Carina”. Randy also referred to Carina as “his little girl” and spent most of his time rehabilitating Carina prior to his last hospitalization. Randy’s heart was broken when Carina’s life ended early, due to an unforeseen illness caused by a tumor.

Randy is survived by his two children from a previous marriage, son Jared Knudtson of Avoca, Wisconsin, with his two grandchildren Brendt and Brenden; and daughter Danielle Knudtson of Las Vegas, Nevada. Randy is also survived by bother Craig (Lynnelle) Knudtson of Racine, Wisconsin; sister Crystal Knudtson of Racine, Wisconsin; and brother Kevin Knudtson of Rosamond, California; in addition to other nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

The family will be celebrating his life at Halley-Olsen-Murphy, address of 44831 N. Cedar Avenue, Lancaster CA. Interment will be held at the Good Shepherd Catholic Cemetery in Lancaster CA.
