James Collins

James Conrad Collins, age 83, from Lancaster, California, passed away at Antelope Valley Medical Center on August 14, 2022. Born in Waterbury, Connecticut to John Collins and Dorothy Marie (Miller) Collins. He went to University of Miami, graduating with a B.A. in Business Administration in 1962, and played Varsity Football.

Jim was a business manager in various fields for 50 years. He was the first person to pitch in on a project, a true Jack-of-all-trades, but was best know for the smell of his pipes, which he enjoyed smoking since high school.

He is predeceased by parents John and Dorothy Collins, brother William Collins (1990), wife Patricia Shipley Collins (2006), and brother John Collins. Survived by his brother Robert Collins of Greenwood, South Carolina; sister Dorothy (Dee) Hokanson of Ansonia, Connecticut; son Peter Collins and his wife Teresa of Danvers, Massachusetts; daughter Kimberly Collins of Rockland, Maine, grandsons Jared Collins and wife Jennifer Yoo of Beverly, Massachusetts, and Ethan Collins of Boston, Massachusetts; and a great-grandson Eddie Collins of Beverly, Massachusetts.
