EMILE COLBERT

A godly life came to a close on Friday, March 18,2022 at 12:12am, when Emile Colbert was called to his heavenly home. There are three steps to heaven, out of self into Christ, and into glory.

Emile Colbert was born on September 28, 1925 to the parents of Laura Colbert and King Colbert in Clarence Louisiana. He was the only boy of three children. He found the Lord at an early age, at Gilgal Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. H.J. Harris.

Emile Colbert, enlisted in the U.S. Army right out of high school. As a private, first class, he had amazing stories to tell of his time in the service. He was honorably discharged after the war. He went on to relocate from Clarence Louisiana to Los Angeles California. Later settling with an career as a engineer for Hearst Corporation, retiring at age 55 in 1980.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his children, Shirley Germany, Louis Colbert, Audrey Colbert, David Colbert, and Janay Colbert. Two sisters Gold Colbert and Juanita Kochinsky and one son Lester Hill preceded him in death. He leaves a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren, relatives, and friends.

There is an open gate at the end of the road through which each must go alone and there, in the light we cannot see our father claim his own.
