DAVID WATKINS

David Lloyd Watkins, 74, passed away on Thursday, March 11th, 2021 in Lancaster, California, with his wife and children at his side.

He was born on November 21st, 1946 in Phoenix, Arizona to the late Virgil Mack and Vivian (Loyd) Watkins. Dave attended schools in Arizona and California, graduating from South Lake Tahoe High School in California in 1965. He enlisted in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War and was stationed at Amarillo Air Force Base in Texas, Wheelus Air Base, Tripoli, Libya, and Edwards Air Force Test Center in California. He worked many years for Lockheed Martin Corporation and most recently owned a residential care facility with his wife Edna.

He is survived by his wife, Edna (Alvar) Watkins of Lancaster, CA; daughter, Sandra (Watkins) Torino, Fayetteville, GA; son, Virgil David Watkins, Lancaster, CA; sister, Emily Joyce Watkins, Columbia, SC; brothers Kenneth Virgil Watkins (Pamela), and Charles Keith Watkins (Margery), Florence, MT; and grandson Zachary Collins, Fayetteville, GA. He was a loving husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, and brother who will be
greatly missed by all.
